When did you start your business?
I started soon after my baby was born, and really got started the year after he turned 1; 2019
What was the inspiration behind starting this business?
I saw that Mums were having lots of difficulty in their businesses with legal disputes. There was one particular lady who only saw me when things went wrong, and unfortunately there are many things you can do to be proactive about your legals that she wasn’t doing. By getting proper legal protections in place, you can save a lot of heartache.
What are you most excited about in your business?
I get excited hearing about the amazing dreams and goals of other women, and about how our world can change for the better. I also love being able to help them make those dreams become a reality.
What has been the most challenging thing about starting your business?
It is constantly challenging me whether it be intellectually with new legal problems, or emotionally with balancing work and home. There are always new things to learn.
What advice would you give to other women thinking about starting a business?
There is no failure there are only lessons. And get your creative mind out – the woman with the best imagination for new products and or services wins!
Why did you choose to do the Women’s Business School Programs?
Because I wanted to work more closely with Peace and Katy, and the community that feels like family.
What did you enjoy the most about being part of the program?
The regular support.
Which module was the most helpful and why?
Working on a big picture vision, because it is often hard to articulate when you are focussed on the day to day.
How did the program help you in your business?
It helped me grow as a person and develop more trust in others, which has in turn enabled me to outsource various parts of my business.
What has been the best thing about starting your own business?
The financial freedom and ability to spend quality time with my son. The ability to personally help other Mums in business.
Would you recommend the Women’s Business School to other women starting a business? Why?
Yes, because it is a supportive nurturing community, and business doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
What’s happening next in your business?
Becoming more widely known as an expert in the area.
What are your big plans for the future?
To invest in educating women and girls.
